Day 02 Colombo– Mihintale – Anuradhapura |

Approximate travel time: 4 Hours Leave for Anuradhapura (a World Heritage Site), which has a history of over 2500 years. It was the first capital and undoubtedly the grandest city of the ancient Sri Lanka. Sri Maha Bodhi (sacred Bo-Tree) ,Ruwanweliseya (2nd century B.C) is the most famous of all the Dagobas and the Isurumuniya rock temple (3rd Century B.C) is known for its rock carvings. In the evening visit Mihintale. Stay overnight in Anuradhapura. |

Day 03 Anurahapura – Polonnaruwa |

Approximate travel time: 1 Hours 40 Mins After breakfast, leave for Polonnaruwa, the second capital city of Sri Lanka built in the 11th and 12th centuries. Visit the ruins of the Royal Palace, Gal Viharaya where the splendid statues of the Budda in ‘Upright’, Audience Hall, Lotus Bath, statue of king Parakumbahu and Parakrama Samudraya. There are also monuments of famous places of worship such as the Shiva Temple, Lankathilake, Watadage, Galpotha, Kiri Vehera and the remains of a former Temple of the Tooth Relic. Overnight in Polonnaruwa. |

Day 04 Polonaruwa – Dambulla – Matale – Kandy |

Day 05 Kandy – City Tour |

Approximate travel time: 2 Hours Breakfast at the hotel. Make a sightseeing tour of Kandy, including the lake, upper lake, Kandy Market area, the university area & the botanical gardens in Peradeniya. Visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawela. See the elephants in nature, being fed, working & bathing in the nearby river. Visit a spice garden to see different spices and how some of these spices are grown and processed. Afternoon at leisure. Evening visit Embekka & Gadaladeniya ancient Buddhist temples. Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy. |

Day 06 Kandy – Colombo |

Approximate travel time: 2 Hours Breakfast at hotel & leave for Colombo. En route visit the ancient Buddhist temple at Kelaniya. Visit the Gangarama Temple, a Hindu Temple, Pettah, Fort, Museum, Galle Face Green, Independence Square, etc. Discover the city & explore the shopping malls, such as House of Fashion, Odel, Arena, etc. Evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Colombo. |
